
The FIU Advanced Leadership Challenge is a collaboration within the Division of Student Affairs to provide students with an integrated opportunity to learn, practice, and document leadership skills as a foundation for effective performance in campus, community, and career roles. Students who successfully complete the program requirements will receive a certificate.
BENEFITS TO STUDENTS
Students will:
- Earn a Certificate in Leadership Development
- Acquire increased marketability when applying for graduate studies, internships, and jobs
- Have networking opportunities with student leaders, faculty, and staff
- Build their Student Development Transcript
- Build their resume
- Have the ability to apply for the Leadership Medallion
GETTING STARTED
Program participants will need to:
- Submit their intent to begin program by filling out the link below.
- Attend a participant orientation (three available every semester, year-round)
- Bring copy of their resume to orientation (previously critiqued by Career Services if possible, GC 230)
- Attend a FIU Student Leadership Summit (Spring semesters)
- Spring 2012: February 4th 2011, 8:30am, BBC
- Complete each area of program requirements (Participant Log attached)
- Update their Co-Curricular Transcript through OrgSync as each program requirement is met
- Available at leadserve.fiu.edu
- Attend a participant roundtable (one available every semester, year-round)
- Complete student pre and post-assessments
- Attend an exit leadership consultation with a CLS representative during the semester of their program completion (to be individually arranged with CLS representative)
