Dance Marathon is 25-hour student-run event with 100% of the funds raised benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program at Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of Miami Children’s Hospital. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals throughout North America. Since 1985, Miami Children’s Hospital has been the only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in South Florida. Over 250 students participate in the 25-hour fundraiser that takes an entire year and a committee of some 40 students to plan and implement.
The Center for Leadership & Service would like to thank the 2011-2012 Executive Board, committee, moral captains, dancers, volunteers and anyone else who helped make the 15th Dance Marathon a HUGE success. This year’s Dance Marathon raised $60,828.51 for the Children’s Miracle Network Foundation! They met and surpassed their goal. We are very proud of all their accomplishments and the amazing impact they had all everyone involved. It is this passion, dedication and commitment that make this such a cherished event every year.
