ENGAGE

A Leadership Workshop Series organized by the Center for Leadership and Service – Florida International University. The ENGAGE Leadership Workshop Series is a one-hour workshop series addressing practical leadership skill building through interactive exercises and information. Topics include “how-to” sessions such as, running a meeting, delegating, motivating a group, conflict resolution, and team building. ENGAGE workshops occur at the Modesto Maidique Campus & the Biscayne Bay Campus. The Modesto Maidique Campus ENGAGE sessions are bi-weekly.  The Biscayne Bay Campus ENGAGE sessions are monthly. Members of registered student clubs & organizations can earn budget points for their organizations by attending these sessions. Modesto Maidique Campus ENGAGE sessions:

Dates for Spring 2012 are Fridays 12:30om-1:30pm in GC 314. Light refreshments will be served.

1. Friday February 10th; Center for Leadership & Service OrgSync training: This session is for Student Development Transcript, Service Medallion of Distinction & the Advanced Leadership Challenge. This session is designed to teach CSO student organizations and FIU students how to use OrgSync to create their student development transcript. log their community service hours and log their Advanced Leadership Challenge activities.
2. Friday February 24th; Mr. David Evensky the Principle & Executive Vice President of Evensky Katz Wealth Managment. The topic will be fundraising.
3. Friday March 9th; Ms. Jenny Guerra, Graduate Assistant Center for Leadership & Service MMC. The topic will be “Ideas for Growing Your Club or Organization.”
4. Friday March 23rd; Mr. Rich Trocio & Ms. Stephanie from FIU Housing & Residential Life. Keeping Your Team Engaged. Girls. Interpersonal Communication and Decision Making.
5. Friday April 13h; Ms. Melissa Hernandez, Academic Advisor Broward College. Time Management
6. Friday April 20th; Mrs. Rhea Beck the Executive Director of the South Florida Chapter of Strong Women Strong Girls; Interpersonal Communication and Decision Making.

Biscayne Bay Campus ENGAGE Sessions
