
Serve your community and get recognized for it! If you have volunteered in the community while you have been a student here at FIU, you may be eligible for the Excellence in Civic Engagement Medallion of Distinction. Eligibility criteria and application process are listed here:
Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate – 200 hours of community service documented on Student Development Transcript, minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at time of application

Undergraduate (transfer) – 100 hours of community service documented on Student Development Transcript, minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at time of application

Graduate – 100 hours of community service documented on Student Development Transcript, minimum 3.5 GPA at time of application
Application Process via CLS Student Portal

Open a Student Development Transcript.

Document your volunteer service hours on your transcript.

Complete the online application for the medallion the semester you are scheduled to graduate.
DEADLINES
- Fall Commencement: November 11, 2011
- Spring Commencement: April 6, 2012
- Summer Commencement: July 13, 2012
Recipients will incur a $20 fee to cover the cost of medallion, official certificate, and transcript.
